One operator, one stack, one design language — a small network of self-hosted apps and websites, built lean on purpose.
toa:// is a personal brand and web ecosystem built and run by Tor — a Norwegian self-hoster and web developer from Bergen. It gathers every self-hosted app under one recognizable visual language inspired by URL protocols and terminal aesthetics.
The portal at toaweb.com is the directory; every other app sits under a *.toaweb.com subdomain and inherits the same system. Apps talk to each other over small REST APIs — one auth service, one content service, one design language — so the whole thing reads like one program rather than a pile of sites.
The internet has a cost, and most of it is waste — heavy images, framework bloat, trackers nobody asked for. toa:// pushes the other way: static HTML, zero raster images, a single cached typeface, dark by default, no third-party scripts. Every page ships less, loads faster, and draws less power. Sustainability here isn't a badge bolted on — it's the same decision as good engineering.
